Cross Country season is well and truly underway.
We will update this page much closer to the 2025 Cross Country season, but as a brief overview please see below regarding 2024 Cross Country;

This is a series of four cross country events/races. You get one number for all events.
Distance: Men around 6 miles, women and vet 65 men around 4 miles.
Dates and venues:
13 October - Norfolk Park, Sheffield
27 October -Longley Park, Sheffield TBC
17 November - Penistone
15 December - Graves Park, Sheffield.

For the SYCAA league, the entry (number) is £8 per person (runners will need to pay for their number).
Please note, if you say yes, then you’re committing to a number, even if you do not end up taking part in the races.

The rules for these XC events mean that everyone taking part must be first claim members (affiliated) for the club they represent and must wear a club vest. For the nationals, it must be the official club vest
If you want to take part, there’s time to sort both of these.

Footwear - spikes or trail shoes will be needed. You can pick up cheap pairs of spikes on Vinted, at Decathlon or any running shops. Please ask for help/ advice if you need it with this.
